Benefits of Membership

To join the CWAAS, please either click one of the buttons below to carry this out on line, or print out and complete the application form, and post it to us along with a cheque made payable to "CWAAS" to the Membership Secretary: Address is on the form.

In due course you will receive your Members' 'Welcome!' pack, which includes the Society's 'Welcome!' booklet and recent copies of the Newsletter.

The Society's main mailings are sent out 3 times each year:

  •     In Spring each year (early March):
        AGM papers; Spring issue of Newsletter;
        Flyers for Society Activities; flyers for books;
        Any other items as available.
  •     In Summer each year (early July):
        Summer issue of Newsletter;
        Flyers as appropriate.
  •     In early Winter each year (early November):
        Annual volume of Transactions;
        Autumn issue of Newsletter;
        Flyers as appropriate.

The Society's website supplies information in the intervals between the three mailings. Keep up to date by joining the email list to get advised about new events and other society activities.

Publications: the Society publishes a range of types of publication on a wide variety of topics. For further information click on the PUBLICATIONS menu button.

Research Grants: The CWAAS Research and Grants Committee makes grants to support projects undertaken by individuals and other societies. Bursaries and Grants are also available to young people under the age of 25 years. Click on the Research menu button at the top of this page and select GRANTS AND BURSARIES  for details.

Activities: members have the opportunity to benefit from lectures, guided walks, guided visits, occasional excursions and an annual dinner or lunch. The Society is welcomed into historic homes and buildings not normally open to the public. Please click on Activities in the main menu bar for further details.

Payment Methods

You may pay on line using PayPal which accepts most major credit or debit cards.

Payment by Standing Order or Banker's Order is particularly welcome.  Please contact the Membership Secretary using the contact form, for details and up to date form and for bank account details if you wish to set up your own regular payment through online banking.
