CWAAS has produced this learning resource to help you explore Cumbria's Prehistory with you learners and support the teaching of Cumbrian prehistory in your school. It provides opportunities to explore the History curriculum, in particular 'changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age' using Cumbria sites, artefacts and museum collections. It was produced with input from archaeological experts and feedback from teachers and learners after a pilot session in a Maryport school. This resource includes an introductory slide show; in school activities; on site activity suggestions; background information and signposts to further information.
